Basilicus
This page documents a Basilicus policy, a widely accepted standard that all editors should normally follow. Changes made to it should reflect consensus.

No Earth references is a work in progress. A basilican is actively working on the article and more content will be added on an ongoing basis until complete.

One of Basilicus' restrictions on content is that there must be no references to planet Earth. There are far too many representations of Earth in fiction, and we don't want to allow for any conflict.

Measurements[]

Do not use Earth-based systems of measurement such as SI or English Standard. However, you are welcome to use these systems of units inside of a Convert template that outputs the units in non-Earth units. We recommend Basilicus Weights and Measures for most measurements, although you may use local systems (other systems made up by Basilicans) as well.

Locations[]

Do not refer to any place detectable from planet Earth. The reason for this is that giving a location for such a place would set a location for planet Earth, which is unacceptable.
