Measurments
So apparently we have to use the Basilicus units for measurments, but this is (in my opinion) quite annoying, not only does it mean that we have to convert the size of anything, but it also means that readers don’t really understand how big or small anything is, unless they too convert. So are we allowed to use metric units? Or not?

I started my first species back in 2012 I believe, now 4 years later I've regularly came back to see what was ging on here at basilicus, and even writing some notes on what I wanted to add. I think that I'm ready now, 4 years later, to give it another go, I've alread added 4 new species, started making each evolutionary system, detailing planets, and making plans to add even more content to my pages.
Its hard to make an entire sector in a day so that why I'm not, I'm going to try and add an article or two everyday and hoepfully that will grow into an awesome area of basilicus!

I seem to be the only person to go to it and i have made about half the pages. When the games comes out you would have help create it which is relly cool to know, but only if you go there.

Continue to Worldbuild
Full time work and trying to edit a novel that's been written for four years, makes it rather hard to do something like Basilicus. However, to me it fits that slot of a little back-burner project that you just drop in on every month or so, add a little here and there and check out what others have been up to. So I'd just like to say I intend to continue working on the Kasperion sector and its surroundings. Happy worldbuilding!
Geography, religion and city planning resources
Exactly what it says on the tin, as it were. Some resources to great articles for world building, particularly on religion and geography and a useful and uncomplex guide to realistic city planning and organic growth of population centres. I didn't realise quite how VITAL geography was until I read this article, and had to go right the way back to the beginning of deciding where I wanted the tectonic plates to be, as they form pressure lines which form mountains which form deserts and rivers and decide on the tropics etc etc. Anyway here they are for your perusal:

A little audience interaction?
Ok, so I thought I would reach out to the fellow denizens of Basilicus... I haven't really spoken to many of you, so figured this could be a good opportunity.
I wanted to ask if anybody had any suggestions for where my timeline should go next. I just feel a bit like I've run out of mileage with the Siyendeh-Hyajik-Khu relations. I guess in desperation I could always chuck some barbarians at them, a la Rome AD~400 but I don't quite want to do that just yet. So yeah, if people could have a read and see if anything springs to their mind. Your eyes might see things mine don't...

Stuff so far
Well, I've not been as active as I want to be. There's no real reason. I'm going to start being more involved now. I'm also going to start writing short stories about different topics about Basilicus. If there's any ideas, please let me know. They don't have to be about my works, they could be about any page, through any perspective.

Ok, first thing's first.
I've abandoned the translation project. It's been scrapped. End of story.
Second, I've been working on this grand, billion-year-old empire named the Exonian Empire, located in Core Basilicus, in the Exonian Sector, which is very close to the Hollowstar Cluster of planets (this is the Exonian term for Cresia, Hollowstar, and Helis), and is very, very, very ancient. Its main race is the second-oldest race of sentient life in Basilicus: the Exonians. They are very nearly human, are humanoid, and have nearly human psyche. I'm a Rookie Editer
Hey all! This is H941. I just started today and on my first edit, I made a mistake on the Star System List article. After establishing my claim on the Arcturus system, I decided to redo the mistake I made. Didn't take too long, but sorry for those who viewed the Trillian Sector as "off" or "messed up" today. That was caused by me, and I'm sorry if that caused a bit of inconvinience. Anyways, the point is that I have just started doing this and I was wondering if anybody could point me in the right direction to ge me started so nothing like my first edit ever happens again. Just another sad tale of a web hack
Well I've immediately fallen behind on doing the work I'd hoped to toward Basilicus, primarily the galactic map, thanks to the timewasting actions of the losers behind the Blackhole Exploit Kit, which has afflicted my website just recently. So thanks to them, I have been wasting my weekend trying to restore my website to non-infected working order. Moral of the story? As always, back up everything as much as possible. And delete any comment that looks even slightly shifty.
Apologies to the good people of Basilicus. I will be back soon.

Subcategory Assignment
One thing I would be interest to hear of anyone's opinion about is the use of Categories that are within Categories. Take planets as an example:
Hexar is an Inhabited Planet, so it has that category added. So far, so good. It is therefore a Planet, but then Inhabited Planets is a subcategory of Planets, so effectively it is under that category already. However, we can ALSO add Planets as a category to Hexar, making it a member of both; despite one category containing the other (as an example of this, check out Terronia).
The Terronia method can be useful in that the page Planets would then give a list of all planets whether inhabited or not. But on the other hand, the idea you can have something that's an Inhabited Planet but somehow not a Planet mak…

Making a species is a very... Evolutionary project
So I started my specicies, The Wulfren, but they are hard to set alll the way up and all the backround is hard to setup.
Work
Started work on the Spanish version Basilicus.
Translation is hard; I never knew it took so much work to get the same meaning translated into another language, and I'm FLUENT in these languages.
Timeline systems
Are there any timeline systems or timeline pages or calendars upon which the dates of events have actually been noted?
Latinian Star Imperia
No-one appears to have edited any of the pages related to the Latinian Star Imperia since 2008. Is the creator still active?
How big are Sectors?
How big are Sectors?
Are they the size of the sectors in Traveller? There being only a relatively small amount in the whole galaxy suggests they are considerably larger. But then, say, why are there only 50 or so systems listed for Agrippina Sector at Star System List? Or are there many more, but are they simply not listed? Maybe only one sub-sector is listed, but then, what is a sub-sector (subsectors are 1/16th of a sector in Traveller)?
Species subcategories
Hmm... why aren't the pages in the Sentient species, Primal species and Extinct species categories in the main "Species" category as well?
Timeline
I'm quite appalled at the inconsistency and implausibility in the timeline of Basilicus Prime, which I'd been trying to fix. The problem is not in the timeline, per se, but in the articles that it refers to. For example, the Highlords are described as having evolved millions of years before and yet Helics, who began interstellar travel some tens of thousands of years ago are described as the oldest civilization, save the Antheons.
In the next few months, I'm going to try to fix these. The hardest part is to go to all the articles are make sure they also stay consistent.

Work on the Kasperion Sector
Well I suppose I might as well make use of this to communicate what I'm actually doing on here. As some may have noticed, I am working purely on the Kasperion Sector and its races & empires. As some may also notice, they are based on a previously made universe (that I created in my teens) and as such I have a lot of gaps where I already have an idea of what will go there. I'd like to think their Basilicus incarnation will give me a chance to develop them in a way I wasn't planning on doing as part of my professional writing.
