Satellites: As star of the Hollowstar system, Hollowstar Proper was orbited by 4 Kelosian-made but effectively natural planets at time of destruction.

Overview[]

Hollowstar proper no longer exists, but its memory lives on with the descendants of its inhabitants. It was originally created as an independent world, drifting through space with no star to orbit. The cold and desolate world was made habitable by the work of King Lessos, who harnessed the power of the lesser ancestors' old star eater to make Hollowstar radiate heat like a real star. The force field that regulated Hollowstar's temperature and radiated the proper amount of heat and light for a star earned Hollowstar its name.

Geology and Geography[]

Hollowstar proper was composed primarily of iron, with a fifty-MDU-deep layer of soil identical to that of Crystaldeep. The world had only a few mountains, raised up years after the world's creation for various purposes. Hollowstar proper was perfectly spherical throughout its existence.

From the inhabited surface, Hollowstar Proper seemed in many ways like a regular planet. However, unlike most planets Hollowstar Proper had no night. After many generations in an artificially lighted spaceship, the lesser ancestors had long since lost any concept of a natural day/night cycle; therefore, when King Lessos Galvin created Hollowstar Proper, he made no attempt to simulate nighttime.

Sociology[]

The inhabitants of Hollowstar during the Golden Age lived in peace and obscurity, receiving everything they needed from the ecosystem they had made for themselves. The population of Hollowstar never grew large enough to threaten this ecosystem; according to recovered records, the population of Hollowstar passed 800,000 just four GY before its destruction in 21,845 GST. This population was evenly spread over the world, making Hollowstar proper into a huge rural society. Each person did his own thing, usually mastering some art of combat or some technology for use in the deathproof arena.

History[]

Hollowstar was created by the lesser ancestors in 21,635 GST and ruled by King Lessos Galvin until his death in 21,706 GST. The system was then ruled by the three kings Algen Galvin, Melchas Letan and Temos Miran until it was accidentally destroyed in 21,845 GST.
