Civilizations[]
The civilizations are all categories. Does this mean that the first few civilizations were meant to be links to the system? Or should those be changed to links to the species (and therefore not a category)?
Also, is "Tarq" supposed to be "Arrq"? --Brilliand 07:51, 3 February 2007 (UTC)
Yeah, that was confusing. I was thinking it should be by star system, but it's redundant since the systems are immediately listed afterward. I just changed it to a list of species. That should clear it up.
I fixed the "Tarq" mistake too. That's what they used to be called way back when. I changed it because it sounded too much like Turk. Thanks for catching that!

What does it take for a system to me a "major" system? If it is solely based on population, I would say that Genesehres would make the cut. --CyberCheat
There is no criteria really apart from what the creator thinks. Go ahead and move it to that category if you think it applies. My thinking was that "major" systems are those that have influence in interstellar society. Perhaps it is time to define that exactly.--Laveaux 07:09, 24 February 2007 (UTC)
How about stating that a "major" system is any system that is the home system of a civilization that is at least class B? That would make Genesehres qualify. --Brilliand 16:22, 24 February 2007 (UTC)
Works for me, I'll add a little note about that. --Laveaux 17:26, 24 February 2007 (UTC)
Works for me too, I think that's better than counting on population to define its class. --Cheat 22:37, 24 February 2007 (UTC)
Could we have a map of the galaxy, with the arms (and largest civilisations, preferably) labelled? 77topaz 07:57, May 9, 2012 (UTC)
- It would require careful gathering of data and planning, but I was starting to consider this too. I will perhaps have a go at one, if I get the chance in the next few weeks - Novodantis (talk) 21:26, September 23, 2012 (UTC)
- Let me know if you need any help getting the info together for this, --Mellbergg (talk) 21:50, September 23, 2012 (UTC)
- Cool, thanks! I'm thinking revised drafts is the way to go. I'm going on the assumption of about 50-100 sectors per arm; if anyone wants to correct that. First thing I think would be to check the main article is up to date with the galaxy's content (significant empires, features etc), then I can base the map off that and delve into page's details iteratively - Novodantis (talk) 08:38, September 26, 2012 (UTC)
