The planet of Xanadu was a planet that once played a major part in galactic politics back in the days of the Republic and the various Commonwealths that existed several thousand years before the Kashouion Rebellion. Until the Republic's first war against the First Xalicean Empire, Xanadu had flourished as the Iptari's entrance to the Core Worlds. After that war, Xanadu was attacked numerous times and just would never recover. It would become important only at the sectorial level after the Rebellion.
